Activities
Our youth work is free for young people and open to everyone, whatever their language or background. Young people come up with the clubs, events and trips themselves, and adult volunteers help make them happen.
NOVA youth space
NOVA – “Nuorten oma vapaa-ajan aukio”, the young people's own free-time space – opened in September 2026. It has a games room, a library, a board game room and a lounge. An adult volunteer is always present.
- Opening hours
- every day 15–20
- Address
- Kornetintie 6 C, 00380 Helsinki
- Price
- free, no membership needed
Weekly clubs include a reading circle, chess, Catan, coding and treasure hunts. Once a month there is a bigger event, such as a tournament or a cooking contest. Other organisations and groups can book NOVA's rooms free of charge.
Camps
We organise overnight camps for children and young people in Helsinki during school holidays: game tournaments, quizzes, sports, mentoring and time together. Camps are led by adult volunteers.
For 2027 we are planning a camp for every school holiday: winter break, Easter, summer and autumn break. Dates and registration will be posted here and on Instagram.
CareerCraft
CareerCraft is a monthly event series for students and young adults aged 18–29. Each event focuses on one career topic – such as CVs, portfolios and using AI in job hunting – and brings in people from the field. Participation is free.
Events are announced on Instagram.

Tulevaisuus Academy
Tulevaisuus Academy runs maths and English courses for school pupils. The courses started in autumn 2026 and continue in 2027.
The courses are paid, and their finances are kept separate from the association's free youth work. Ask about the courses: info@finpolarnuoriso.fi.
Youth podcast
The young people's own podcast starts in autumn 2026. They choose the topics, interview guests and host the episodes. Episodes are published in Finnish and English.
